Information For Churches 

Become an SRE Teacher
Local Churches are responsible for authorizing and training SRE teachers in the Christian Reformed Churches of NSW. With the Church SRE representative liaising with the NSW CRCA SRE Coordinator to ensure all the relevant procedures and paperwork are adhered to.
The firsts step to becoming an SRE teacher is to be in contact with your local Church and the SRE representative.
Every SRE teacher in the Christian Reformed Church of NSW requires adequate training and paperwork including a WWCC number, Child protection training and approved SRE teacher training.
The steps to SRE Teacher Authorisation are:
1. Obtain a WWCC number
2. Undertake approved Child protection training 
3. Undertake relevant and approved SRE Teacher training (see below)
4. Undertake regular training and professional development and the teacher audit process.

Approved SRE Teacher Training 
The Christian Reformed Church of NSW recognises SRE Teacher training through: 
Youthworks modules 1 to 5
ICCOREIS modules 1 to 7

Re-Authorisation process 
Each year SRE teachers must undertake the relevant professional development attending additional training each year and have a lesson observed with the appropriate paperwork filled in and sent through to the SRE Coordinator.
